# Local Addresses

ATTENTION:

          

This feature is not available in Cloud Small or Cloud for Congregations.

This tool changes the local address of all patrons that have the same local address allowing you to change from one to another or to a blank local address. Local Addresses are primarily used for reporting.

## Options

- **Old Local Address** - The starting local address of the patrons you want to change local addresses.
- **New Local Address** - This drop down will show you all the currently available options or let you type in what you want to change it to.

After making your selections, click the **Start** button.

Because this process can affect a large amount of patrons, you are asked to confirm that this is what you want to do.

Click **Yes** to start the process. Just as with reports and other processes that can take some time to run, you may wait here for the process to finish or you can continue working in other areas of Surpass Cloud. In either case, you'll be notified when the process has been completed. This message will also tell you how many patrons will be affected.

          Multi-Location/Branch Library Systems

          

If your library is part of a system that has multiple locations or branches, you will be changing local addresses for either **all locations** or the **selected location only**.
