# Equipment Cataloging Best Practices

There are lots of non-book items that can be cataloged. Tech equipment, such as chargers and laptops, organizational equipment, such as uniforms and instruments, even items such as board games, puzzles, and toys are commonly circulated.

Such items will not have an ISBN, and will need to be cataloged [using a form](/v1/docs/resource-view-edit-form), which may require [designing a template](/v1/docs/setting-resource-template).
